We work with our clients to develop innovative and practical strategies for enhancing the value of investments in facilities and technology for the built environment. We focus particularly on solving problems posed by multiple objectives and diverse stakeholder perspectives typical of complex, large-scale projects and public-sector programs in the United States and abroad.

Regional & Urban Development Plans

We assist government agencies conducting economic and environmental studies to support strategic and physical planning of large regions and urban areas, with particular emphasis on the policy framework to enable environmentally sustainable growth and the large-scale investments in transportation and other civil infrastructure systems needed to support that growth.

Civil Infrastructure Asset Valuation & Management Systems

We conduct valuation appraisals and studies of lifecycle cost of fixed-capital assets to inform public- and private-sector investment and management decisions. We have devised policies for pricing and cost recovery of water-resources and large scale agro-business projects, prepared replacement cost appraisals of municipal infrastructure systems, advised on matters related to GASB Statement 34, and developed analysis tools for cost estimation for transportation facilities.

Project Feasibility, Planning, Programming

We assist property owners, developers, architects and engineers with project identification, plan development, programming, and feasibility analysis for new towns, industrial estates, airports, regional ground transportation systems, and other infrastructure.

Technology Assessment, Market Forecasts & Risk Analysis

We advise entrepreneurs and others seeking to estimate market potential and for products and services in facilities management and the design and construction industries. We have investigated applications for novel construction materials, market structure for highway vehicle components, products standards for intelligent transportation systems, and new technology for monitoring facility condition.
